Project overview
Roleko constructed a clear-span steel warehouse in Nairobi, from bare site to a finished, weather-tight building. Steel portal frames span the full width without internal columns and are clad in profiled steel sheeting above a reinforced concrete plinth wall.
Scope of works
- Reinforced concrete pad foundations with cast-in holding-down bolts and ground beams
- Fabrication and erection of portal frames, purlins, side rails and bracing, including final alignment
- Cast in situ reinforced concrete plinth wall between the steel columns
- Ground floor slab cast in bays with saw-cut joints and a power-floated finish
- Profiled steel roof and wall cladding with roof lights, flashings and steel sliding doors
- Masonry boundary wall with security topping
Capability demonstrated
Structural steel erection, in situ concrete works around an erected frame, safe working at height, and delivery of a complete building to a clean, finished standard.
